Live, Online Study Skills
A one-week course to help your student excel in school.
Students who are registered for Williamsburg classes for Fall 2025 through a Public Education Partner are eligible to take Study Skills. It's only available once per year for one week—we encourage all new students to register for it!
August 4 - 7, 2025
(Study Skills is a one-week class offered once per year during the month of August. You can register your student for this course beginning on April 1, when summer registration opens.)
Middle School (grades 6-8)
Section 1: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM MT
Section 2: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM MT
Section 3: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM MT
High School (grades 9-12)
Section 1: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM MT
Section 2: 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM MT
Section 3: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM MT
Study Skills can be found under Electives in SIS.

Is there homework for this course?
Yes. Students will complete assignments in Canvas outside of class each day.
Daily assignments are necessary to prepare for the next day’s class and to earn credit for the course.

How many hours will my child spend on this class?
High school and middle school students should plan to spend 25-30 hours completing the course during the week it is offered.
Coming to class prepared each day by completing the previous day’s assignments will ensure your student gains as much from this experience as possible.

Is the Study Skills class held on Friday?
No, there is no live class session for Study Skills on Friday. The live class sessions will be held Monday through Thursday, with Friday reserved as a study day to complete any unfinished assignments.

Can my student earn credit for this course?
Yes! Students who complete and meet course requirements can receive 0.5 electives credits from Williamsburg Academy Private School.
Note: Students enrolled for the Fall semester through a partner organization who complete and meet course requirements may receive 0.5 credits pending approval from the partner. Check with your partner organization to see if Study Skills can be transferred and/or counted as credit on your student’s official transcript.
