FAQs
-
What are the benefits of registering my student full-time?
Results show that full-time students who enroll in the Williamsburg program (taking four or more courses) achieve higher grades, develop vital time management skills, and make deeper social connections with their peers and mentors. They also outperform their peers on ACT/SAT exams and are better equipped for life as adults after graduation.
-
Do courses cost less if I choose the full-time package?
Yes. Our full-time package includes more than a 10% discount off our normal fees for individual courses.
-
What is the West Virginia Hope Scholarship program?
The West Virginia Hope Scholarship Program, established in 2021, provides families with state-funded financial assistance to customize their children's education. Administered by the West Virginia Hope Scholarship Board, the program allows eligible students to utilize funds for private school tuition, homeschooling expenses, tutoring, and other educational services.
The West Virginia Hope Scholarship Board oversees the program, ensuring compliance with state regulations and proper fund allocation.
-
When do I need to apply for my state’s funding program?
You must apply between March 1 and June 15, 2025, to receive 100% of the scholarship amount. After June 15, funds will be prorated as follows:
- June 16 to September 15, 2025 - 75% of the scholarship
- September 16 to November 30, 2025 - 50% of the scholarship
- December 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026 - 25% of the scholarship
-
How much funding could my child qualify for?
For the 2025-2026 academic year, each eligible student could receive $5,267.
-
Is testing required?
At Williamsburg, all students, including those using ESA funds, take the STAR assessment. Though not required, we encourage ESA students to participate. These assessments help us provide the best academic support tailored to their needs.
If your state requires norm-referenced testing, the STAR assessment will satisfy that requirement. -
When will I be billed and how does it work?
When enrolling for the upcoming school year, you won’t be billed until July 15! You’ll receive four quarterly bills, carefully timed to align with your state’s funding dates—so you’ll never have to pay out of pocket!
For the All-Inclusive Package: You will receive your first quarterly invoice of $1500 for your student’s tuition on or after July 15.
For Individual Courses: You’ll receive your first invoice for your student’s tuition on or after July 15. The total will vary based on the number and types of courses you select. To estimate your invoice, simply divide your child’s tuition total by four.
Once your invoice is available, you’ll upload it to the Hope Scolarship portal and manually initiate payment from there. Here’s a look at the billing cycle:
- July 15th (Invoice Date) → August 14th (Due Date)
- October 15th (Invoice Date) → November 14th (Due Date)
