FAQs
-
What are the benefits of registering my student full-time?
Results show that full-time students who enroll in the Williamsburg program (taking four or more courses) achieve higher grades, develop vital time management skills, and make deeper social connections with their peers and mentors. They also outperform their peers on ACT/SAT exams and are better equipped for life as adults after graduation.
-
Do courses cost less if I choose the full-time package?
Yes. Our full-time package includes more than a 10% discount off our normal fees for individual courses.
-
What is the Utah Fits All Scholarship program?
Williamsburg Academy is an approved education provider for Utah’s Fits All (UFA) Scholarship Program. This program provides families with financial assistance for educational expenses. It is administered by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) and funded by state tax dollars to offer parents flexibility in choosing educational options for their children. UFA funds are not considered taxable income for parents of qualified students.
The program allows parents to utilize state funding to purchase educational services from approved schools, providers, and vendors. Eligible students have access to a state-determined amount to support their educational journey. ACE manages the Utah Fits All (UFA) Scholarship Program, overseeing its implementation, including identifying and communicating “approved scholarship expenses and qualifying providers.”
The Utah Fits All Scholarship Program is designed to expand educational freedom for Utah families, offering flexible funding and a streamlined application process.
-
When do I need to apply for my state’s funding program?
Apply early! Applications for UFA funds will be accepted as follows:
Returning Student Applications: January 21-April 30, 2025
New Applicants and Siblings: March 3-April 30, 2025
Processing Time: Applications are processed within 30 days of the portal closing.
Online applications can be submitted through the Utah Fits All portal, which is managed by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE).
-
How much funding could my child qualify for?
Average Funding Amount: Up to $8,000 annually, depending on eligibility and enrollment. To receive the full funding, students must be enrolled full-time in a private school.
Utah funding is tiered, based on income. Income verification is required to be placed in an enrollment preference category.
Program Capacity: The budget allows approximately 10,000 students to receive scholarships each year. Funding changes will be determined during the current legislative session.
-
Is testing required?
At Williamsburg, all students, including those using ESA funds, take the STAR assessment. These assessments help us provide the best academic support tailored to their needs.
If your state requires norm-referenced testing, the STAR assessment will satisfy that requirement.
-
When will I be billed, and how does it work?
When enrolling for the upcoming school year, you won’t be billed until July 15! You’ll receive four quarterly bills, carefully timed to align with your state’s funding dates—so you’ll never have to pay out of pocket!
For the All-Inclusive Package: On or after July 15, you’ll receive your first quarterly invoice of $1500 for your student’s tuition.
For Individual Courses: On or after July 15, you’ll receive your first invoice for your student’s tuition. The total will vary based on the number and types of courses you select. To estimate your invoice, simply divide your child’s tuition total by four.
Once your invoice is available, you’ll upload it to ClassWallet and manually initiate payment from there. Here’s a look at the billing cycle:
- July 15th (Invoice Date) → August 14th (Due Date)
- October 15th (Invoice Date) → November 14th (Due Date)
- January 15th (Invoice Date) → February 15th (Due Date)
