Attendance Policy

Academic Year 2024-25

Attendance Policy

To be considered attending, all students—whether enrolled in live or self-paced courses—must log into Canvas and submit assignments at least four days per week throughout the semester (excluding Fall Break and Spring Break).

To Meet Attendance Requirements

Do one or both of the following:

  • Submit at least one assignment on four separate days each week (Monday–Sunday)
  • Complete all coursework for the course

How This Benefits Students

Regularly attending and participating in classes each week leads to higher course completion rates and students are better prepared to lead meaningful lives as principled leaders.

Understanding Our Attendance Policy

Staying engaged is key to your success! Watch this short video to learn how our attendance policy works and the flexible options available to meet the requirements.

Will Your Child Be Absent?

Absent 1-2 days: If your student will be absent for 1-2 days, please call 303-285-0787, choose Option #3, and leave a message. If your child needs an extension on assignments, please have them contact their mentors in Canvas.

Absent 3+ Days: If your student will be absent for 3 or more days, please call as noted above, and fill out the Absence Request form. Submitting the form will notify your child's mentors of the extended absence.
