What is the CMAS?
The Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) is Colorado’s statewide assessment system designed to evaluate how well students have mastered the Colorado Academic Standards. These standards outline what students should know, understand, and be able to do at each grade level across 12 content areas, including math, English language arts, and science.
Administered at the end of the school year, CMAS assesses students’ mastery of these standards as well as their critical thinking and problem-solving skills, which are essential for success in school, college, careers, and life. The results from CMAS provide valuable data to determine whether educational goals are being met and to ensure students are on track to graduate ready for future opportunities.
